We want you to get the care you deserve.

Who we are

Broughton Psychology is a clinical psychology practice based in Bendigo, Victoria, offering individualised psychological care in a calm, non‑intimidating environment.

Our work is grounded in careful clinical thinking, strong formulation, and a people‑first approach. We aim to create a space that feels settled and easy to come to, while providing thoughtful, evidence‑based psychology that holds depth and integrity over time.

We value clarity, respect, and steadiness in our work, and approach each person with care and attention to their unique experiences and needs.

How it feels to work with us

Calm, human, and thorough

Clients often describe our practice as calm, relaxed, and easy to come to. We place importance on creating an environment that feels comfortable and human — a space where people can arrive, take their time, and engage without pressure.

At the same time, our clinical work is careful and thorough. We value depth over speed, clear understanding, and communication that is meaningful for both clients and referrers.

We are committed to working steadily with people over time, particularly when experiences are complex or progress is gradual.

Our clinical approach

Integrative, individualised, and considered

Our approach is thoughtful and integrative. Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, we take time to understand the broader picture — how experiences, patterns, relationships, and current circumstances connect.

We believe meaningful psychological change happens when these elements are brought together into a coherent understanding. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

This way of working allows us to remain flexible and responsive while maintaining clinical rigour and depth. Care is always tailored to the individual, shaped by careful formulation and ongoing reflection over time.
