Eryn Broughton
Clinical Psychologist - Therapy | Assessments
Eryn Broughton (She/Her) is a Clinical Psychologist with a special clinical interest in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) and neurodevelopmental assessment.
Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience of FND, Eryn is passionate about supporting people who are newly diagnosed and trying to make sense of what FND means for their lives. She understands the confusion, uncertainty, and self-doubt that can arise when symptoms are misunderstood or when people have spent years searching for answers.
Her approach focuses on helping individuals develop a clear understanding of FND, build confidence in their recovery, and navigate the practical and emotional challenges that often accompany diagnosis.
Eryn also provides education, training, and consultation regarding FND to allied health professionals, educators, and organisations seeking to better understand and support individuals living with the condition. She is particularly interested in bridging the gap between emerging FND research and real-world clinical practice.
In addition to her work in FND, Eryn conducts comprehensive Autism, ADHD, and cognitive assessments. She has a particular interest in identifying neurodivergence that has been overlooked, masked, or misattributed earlier in life, particularly among women, gender-diverse people, and those presenting with complex or overlapping conditions.
As an AuDHD psychologist, Eryn's work is grounded in neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and person-centred principles. She recognises the impact that nervous system differences, life experiences, identity, and systemic factors can have on wellbeing, functioning, and access to support.
Outside of work, Eryn is a mother and business owner who enjoys DIY projects, exploring local markets, going to the gym, snorkelling, and catching a good movie.
